When I first started out...
“I Was Skinny, I Was Soft
I Was Clueless!”
It’s true!
I didn’t start off with 18+ inch arms and a rock hard flat waist, it was hard for me at first...
In the beginning I did what every one else did. I just went through the motions and found that nothing changed very much. I ate every pill imaginable, every potion that was supposed to make you muscular.
I even spent money on vitamin C supplements from Weider that was supposed to make you muscular and vascular. All it did was turn my urine yellow! Now this is back almost 40 years ago.
Before you knew it, my vitamin budget was almost $100 a month, along with buying all kinds of protein and other supplements that were supposed to speed up the metabolism and build muscle.
Then one day, just out of dumb luck, as I was trying to chug a powder protein supplement mixed with milk that would make a billy goat puke, I happened across an article by an amazing man who they called the “Thinking Man’s Bodybuilder!”

I just purchased your books RU Serious and High Intensity Powerbuilding on
Thursday. There’s a lot of good info and I’m glad I found them, I need to get back
on track. I’m not serious bodybuilder or powerlifter. Just an average Joe who workouts
out in his basement but I have had some decent size. I had a long layoff due to injury
...
In the past I got off track and did workouts that didn’t work, you know, the
various crap in the magazines. But to be honest the majority of my size came from
workouts very similar to the one in you RU Serious book. So I’m going to start with
that. Actually, I took this past week off so I started again today and I just got
done with workout #1 from the book, though I’m not looking forward to legs in a few
days . It felt great to get back to that.
I’m really looking forward to starting
the Powerbuilding workout but at this point I thought it might be better to start
with the RU Serious workout.
